Justin Bieber performs live to fans in Israel

The teen pop idol has held a concert for his adoring fans in Tel Aviv following an alleged snub by Israeli PM

The 17-year-old Canadian artist triggered a wave of excitement among his young fans who camped outside his hotel.

Teenage girls arrived at the Park Hayarkon concert venue with posters of Bieber and signs declaring their love for him.

The singer who arrived on Monday planned to spend the week sightseeing ahead of the concert, but spent most of the visit holed-up in his hotel room to escape the paparazzi.

Benjamin Netanyahu also got caught up in the hype. Representatives of Bieber were forced to deny reports that a proposed meeting with the Israeli prime minister was cancelled after the singer allegedly refused to meet with children from a region affected by enemy rockets.
