(Getty Images)more pics »The rumor mill (and a particular tabloid) spread word today that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez split up, but, thankfully, one of the hottest young couples in Hollywood is still very much together. Don't believe the Bieber love triangle news, writes Gossip Cop.
Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez (Getty) Apparently the National Enquirer ran a story about Selena "cooling" her Bieber Fever after discovering her man was sending texts to Jasmine Villegas, his friend and star of his "Baby" music video. According to the publication's story, the Bieb's two-timing caused the Disney actress to "dump" him. Not true, apparently.The tabloid's "insider" reported: “Selena was heartbroken. She confronted Justin, and at first he denied it but then came clean. She told him their romance was over, but she was willing to stay friends.”
The supposedly bogus story also included that Selena "left the door open for reconciliation."
Gossip Cop reports that the story is definitely untrue, and these two are together still -- although doing the long-distance thing right now. Justin is still touring in Europe and Selena is getting ready to go on her own tour in May.
