Israel PM Meeting With Pop Singer Bieber Scrapped

The Israeli prime minister's office says tentative plans for a meeting with visiting pop teen sensation Justin Bieber have been called off.
Benjamin Netanyahu's office said on Wednesday that Bieber representatives raised the idea of a meeting and that the Israeli leader "was open" to the possibility.
It said Netanyahu wanted to bring in youngsters from southern Israel, whose communities have come under attack by Gaza militants, but that proved unfeasible.
Bieber spokesman Scooter Brown says a meeting was never pursued.
Bieber, who is performing in Tel Aviv on Thursday, also complained that Israeli photographers have been pursuing him when he visited holy places.
The singer tweeted: "They should be ashamed of themselves."
