The pop phenom expressed his frustration and annoyance towards overbearing Israeli paparazzi as he toured Israel with his family, tweeting that he would be holed up in his hotel many thanks to their invasion of his privacy.

Lest we forget the political storm surrounding his cancelled visit with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as well. However, all was forgotten on Thursday evening, as Bieber re-emerged into the public eye for the show. He even disregarded his self-imposed Twitter ban, by tweeting just before the gig, “Time to do what I love best... perform for the fans... Israel... It's almost time. #myworldtour." According to a review of the concert in The Hollywood Reporter, Bieber put on an impressive performance. Playing to an estimated 35,000 fans, it was the usual Biebs fare, save for when music director, Dan Kanter, played "Hatikva,” the Israeli national anthem. At set’s end, in a poignant moment Bieber sang “Pray,” then introduced manager Scooter Braun’s grandmother who was in the wings, informing the throng that she was a Holocaust survivor.

After the concert, Bieber happily tweeted, “AMAZING NIGHT ... AMAZING PLACE ... AMAZING SHOW!! NEVER GOING TO FORGET THIS ONE. #BLESSED.” Next, the pop heartthrob will take his My World tour to Singapore, playing a show on Tuesday.
